The Deli, a Staple at Oklahoma University
If you’re looking for a great show as well as good drinks around The Port at the Trails, there are plenty of places near the campus of Oklahoma University. Dining in Norman seems to mostly be places where you can have a drink as well, but at The Deli, you’ll find that you have a great time every night.
The Deli is the oldest bar on the Historic Campus Corner, giving it some history as well as a great reputation. They’re also the only venue in Norman to have live music every night, so if you’re thinking about going to a show, you can always go to The Deli. They are 21+, though, so if you were planning on just going for the music, not the alcohol, you’ll have to find another place.
The Deli opens at 4 PM, and most shows start around 7 PM. They’re open all the way to just shy of 2 AM, so you can spend the whole night in one bar. They’re known as the home of the Red Cup. On Thursdays, when the Oklahoma City Thunder play, you can get red cups of Budweiser for only $2.50, a great deal.
Where do you go for live music in Norman? Tell us!
